Now you can find out by taking part in one of three free distance-learning courses offered by Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) in Karlskrona, Sweden.

Join us in beautiful Waterford city for lively discussions and debates, from 26 – 28 March in the Tower Hotel, Waterford. Hear specialist speakers such as Karen Chouhan Duncan Stewart, Eanna Ni Lamhna, Michael Kelly (GIY Ireland). Attend our selection of workshops to learn new skills and to share knowledge with each other. Waterford is a family friendly county so bring all the family to enjoy the fun. The Young Greens have been busy promoting Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight 2010!

This year the QUB Greens decided to highlight the Green aspects of Fairtrade! -

Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. By requiring companies to pay sustainable prices (which must never fall lower than the market price), Fairtrade addresses the injustices of conventional trade, which traditionally discriminates against the poorest, weakest producers. It enables them to improve their position and have more control over their lives.
